Dr. Uta Wiedenfels, EMLE, studied law and economics (intermediate diploma) in Freiburg and Berlin. She then completed an English-language master's degree in economic legal analysis in Bologna and Madrid and graduated with the European Master of Law & Economics (EMLE).
She was admitted to the bar in 2008 and initially worked as an attorney at law in various commercial law firms, in Frankfurt am Main with Schiedermair Rechtsanwälte and in Berlin with GSK Stockmann + Kollegen, focusing on commercial and corporate law as well as real estate law. From 2010-2017 she worked as assistant professor at the chair of Prof. Dr. Rainer Schröder in real estate law and researched, among other things, the history of the GDR. In June 2015, she received her doctorate with her dissertation on the legal history of open property issues. Parallel to her academic work, Dr. Wiedenfels continued to work as a (self-employed) lawyer. She joined HuP in March 2017.
